blogtk and drivel miss this feature (upload files), i agree with that. Unfortunately, blogtk dev doesn't seem to continue to improve their app.
Drivel will maybe implement this one day.
Actually, I did'nt find any app that fit my needs and finally I use most of the time the wordpress interface (which is not the best and the fast, but at least all functionalities are there)..

I tried installed both blogtk and drivel. Both works fine but seem to be missing the feature to upload files and images, or I can't find the options. Anyway blogtk is way better than Bleezer.

I was looking for an app like this for some time. The most useful function I was looking for is the ability to save drafts and place pictures without going through the slow interface of wordpress. I really liked the looks of BlogDesk, but it doesn't seem to run on linux.

I tried Bleezer (a java app), which is not bad but when you post it to wordpress it will add a link "powered by bleezer" which is really annoying.

I'll try out blogtk and drivel.

Actually, these two apps works well. Blogtk was also apt-get able (but it depends of python-2.4 when 2.5 is default on ubuntu feisty).
But none have a real complete set of wordpress features, the most interesting feature is the offline post writing.
